Pakinai Guest House
Great location, no-nonsense rooms

What we say:
This brand new spot constitutes a refurbished building that was most likely a basic condominium in the past. There's 21 large rooms with fridges, cable TV, and comfortable beds. Don't expect swanky frills, but the place is clean, and the staff are welcoming and unobtrusive.

Quiet place, good value
I stayed in this place in 2 different occasions and quite liked it. I must say when I walked into the room the very first time I was not directly drawn to it, maybe the walls where looking a bit too worn out. But soon after this was my little home. The place is clean, has a nice bed and bathroom, mini fridge, clean sheets, small desk, a place to hang your clothes and a tv for 350B - fan, one person. The location is quite good too, not overly noisy street and close to places to eat and a real good internet place just 2 block away. Also real close to the sunday walking street. The staff - I only saw a lady and a younger girl - are nice too. This place has a few tables in the front, but there's not really an atmosphere or people hanging out there talking. If you're ok with it and not looking for backpacker vibe, than this is a good choice.

Great room
My single fan room was very clean with private bath, fridge, tv, and a nice, firm bed. The whole place looks pretty new. The floor and bathrooms are tiled and the bathroom hardware is new. For 200B/night in high season I would definitely stay here again. It's also a short walk to the Jok Sompet restaurant up the street that has good joke and noodle dishes.

Clean, great value
Been here several times. Not many places as clean as this with private hot shower bathroom, cable, refrigerator, wireless internet. Not much of a scene for meeting people but for a hotel room at a guesthouse price this is a place The woman who used to manage it was really warm and kind. Unfort she's gone off to Phuket. We stayed there after she left and it was a bit shakey- just the the workers not speaking English and some confusion. I imagine that they've gotten through the readjustment.

Great deal
This place is great. It doesn't have much character, but the rooms are super-clean and comfortable. You don't feel like you're staying in a budget place. The staff is professional and friendly. Also, we appreciated that they kept our reservation over New Years'.
