Pakinai Guest House

Great location, no-nonsense rooms

This brand new spot constitutes a refurbished building that was most likely a basic condominium in the past. There's 21 large rooms with fridges, cable TV, and comfortable beds. Don't expect swanky frills, but the place is clean, and the staff are welcoming and unobtrusive.

Great deal - 15th February, 2008
This place is great. It doesn't have much character, but the rooms are super-clean and comfortable. You don't feel like you're staying in a budget place. The staff is professional and friendly. Also, we appreciated that they kept our reservation over New Years'.

Clean, great value - 2nd February, 2009
Been here several times. Not many places as clean as this with private hot shower bathroom, cable, refrigerator, wireless internet. Not much of a scene for meeting people but for a hotel room at a guesthouse price this is a place The woman who used to manage it was really warm and kind. Unfort she's gone off to Phuket. We stayed there after she left and it was a bit shakey- just the the workers not speaking English and some confusion. I imagine that they've gotten through the readjustment.
