The Chiang Mai White House

Featureless but clean

The centrally located and aptly-named White House has fan rooms with bathroom and air-con rooms as well; most rooms have balconies. While it's a nondescript set up, the rooms are clean and well kept. As with many of the guesthouses in this area, if you don't plan to go trekking, be sure to say so. The back soi location is a delight if you want to avoid coming in contact with traffic.

The Chiang Mai White House reviews

Read 3 opinions from Travelfish readers

Nondescript is right - 17th June, 2008
Definitely agree with the Travelfish review: the rooms here are definitely best described as nondescript. They're comfortable enough, with decent bathrooms and beds, but the furniture is cheap and mismatched, the bedding seems a bit old, and the entire place isn't terribly attractive. CM Blue House is much better in terms of decor and comfort.

The trekking in the jungle - 3rd January, 2008
The trekking in the jungle of Chiang Mai was really a nice experience. Especially the views on top of the mountains where we slept and the rafting and the Elephant riding, we like a lot. Thanks for this experience !!

Nice and friendly - 19th February, 2007
Very good value, 250B for a double with fan and private bathroom and even a small balcony. The staff were really friendly and the location is good.
