What we say:

This is the first women-only guesthouse we've come across in Chiang Mai and maybe they've spotted a gap in the market; the owner says the reasoning is mostly to do with shared bathrooms. It's an interesting and nicely restored art nouveau 1950s period house with a small but very nice sitting area plus excellent coffee shop and bakery. Rooms are simple but spotless and comfortable. Two rooms have private bathrooms and three shared, with more rooms under construction. They'll probably need them too since it is a good spot with a very jolly owner who you'll probably confuse with your granny after a couple of days.
