Pagoda Inn

Elegant touches for a budget price

Pagoda Inn's distinctive terracotta-painted buildings surround peaceful gardens with ponds flowing through them. Rooms are all different, and quite elegantly decorated for a low-budget guesthouse. They are quite small but nice and simple. Fan rooms are pretty plain, and those with windows are the best choice. Air-con rooms have extra amenities, such as TV with English programming, phone and a kettle. A 10% discount is available for long-term stays. The staff don't speak much English, which can be annoying at times; we've also received reports that online booking requests get ignored. Trekking and tours can be organised through the front desk.

Good value, but tiny room - 30th August, 2007
Stayed here for just one night. Good location, in a quiet soi just a block back from the moat around the ring road. The double room was only 450 baht, but it was so small I was glad I was travelling alone. It look clean enough, but smelled musty - especially the even tinier bathroom. The outside area is nice and the management was friendly, so this is a pretty good budget choice.

good value in CM - 9th January, 2007
The well situated Pagoda Inn offers clean rooms (450 TB)with toilet, hot shower, TV. The breakfast in a nice quiet garden is standard and not included. The staff is helpfull, but most of the time unable to speak any English. So, big problems with the toilet could not be solved. Pagoda Inn offers good value in CM.

Slow response from Pagoda Inn - 23rd April, 2006
I heard good reviews from someone about Pagoda Inn hence I sent email reservation request to Pagoda Inn on 8 Apr, then 10 Apr, and then I requested the adventure tour group representative to help me contact Pagoda Inn on my behalf to see why they have not responded. The adventure tour rep called Pagoda Inn and there they told her that the person in charge of email reservations has gone on a holiday and will attend to my email when he's back. It's 23 Apr today and I've to send my mail for the 3rd time to Pagoda Inn. It shall be my last time and I'll switch my accomodation plans if no response.
