What we say: 
Thapae Gate is a smallish guesthouse hidden away behind the bars on Moon Muang Rd, Unlike it's surroundings, they've managed to create a nice spot here. The rooms are clean and well kept, with cute private balconies. The atmosphere is pretty laid back, however there is a bit of pressure to shop at their travel agency, whether to book trekking, cooking or transport tickets.

Bed Bugs
We opted for a double room with A/C costing 350B, which we found was about average for a room with A/C and wireless internet. Although the Guest House is very welcoming and the rooms appear to be clean and comfortable, within a short time being here we discovered lovely black bed bugs crawling around the bed. The Guest House employee was very helpful and did let us change rooms, however room C1 has the hardest beds we've encountered since being here! Overall not a entirely bad place to stay but there are hundred's better near by.
