Chiang Khong Hotel
Cheap but old and tired

What we say:
Run by the same people who have the Chiang Khong Resort, the hotel of the same name is nowhere near the same standard and should only be used if all other hotels and guesthouses are full. Though reasonably cheap, the rooms do not have any kind of river view and are situated right on the main road. The rooms lack atmosphere and look very tired and in need of a total overhaul. They have patched old sheets and wires hanging out of walls with paint chipping off them. They do have private bathrooms with hot shower and western-style flush toilet.
