What we say:

The Chiang Khong River View is right on the Mekong and has great views over to Laos. Every room has a table and two chairs out front so you can sit and appreciate the view even more. The very clean rooms are medium sized and all have their own bathroom with western-style bucket flush toilet, hot shower and towels. The rooms also have a TV but there is not so much choice in English. Rates include breakfast and the very friendly manager said that they serve this at the tables outside each room when you are ready for it. The higher rooms are lighter and have a better view so if possible, try and request one of these.

very nice spot....

Great view of the Mekong, though this section of the river is no very picturesque. I paid 300 B for a small, single, fan room (no b'fast). Fair value w lots of amenities. TV, frige, hot water shower. Very clean room, well appointed. Has a good restaurant overlooking the river also. One of the first guest houses after the bridge, from the bus stop. Easy walk. Painless, good choice for a stay in CK.
