What we say:

This hotel right in the middle of town, opposite TOPS supermarket and close to all that happens in Chiang Rai, has been refurbished under the direction and management of a local Thai and her American husband. The restaurant doesn't do a great deal of business due to the number of good local restaurants and a food court being just two minutes' away. Staff speak English and extra amenities include spa and massage. A good place to stay if looking for a step up from guesthouses.

Nice and quiet

A small and quiet hotel at a great location. Breakfast is OK when choosing Thai style, American breakfast could be larger. The room was spacious with plenty of storage. WLAN only on the stairs (3rd floor). Staff with only rudimentary English, but friendly. A little bit overpriced.

Starbright Hotel

Small hotel in great location (5 min from the old bus terminal by feet). Large room with internet access - WLAN not in every room. Continental breakfast small, Thai breakfast delicious and satisfying portions - one coffee only. Tops mini super market just across the street. There is a shuttle bus between the old and new bus terminal for 10 THB.
