Palm House
Uninspiring setting but pretty good rooms

What we say:
Palm House is one of your best options out of a fairly poor selection in the lake area. Set back one block from lakeside on a quiet residential street, its appearance is uninspiring -- a concrete block looking onto a car park. Nevertheless rooms are not bad, with the service friendly, location good and rates very reasonable. Rooms are large, clean and come with en suite hot shower and cable TV. Fan-cooled rooms are on the first floor while the second has the air-con ones. The rates we were quoted seem to have been averaged out and discounts would be available during quiet period, with a supplement likely in high season.

Quite reasonable
Rooms are clean and optional for AC or fan, hot water, TV. Just one street back from the lake and easy to walk into town and around the lake. Advantage of its location is quietness. No food but there are many places 5 minutes away. Fair prices, paid B500.
