What we say:

Set on the banks of the Pai River a few kms, (they claim 7), south of Mae Hong Son is this pleasant resort set in a sprawling garden. Of the two parallel roads leading south out of town take the smaller one to the West that runs close to the river and you'll come across the catchily named Rim Nam Klang Doi Resort. Lawns and gardens stretch down to the river and there's a choice of teak bungalows -- garden or river view and a long house for those on a budget. Bungalows are reasonably large and constructed from a mixture of teak, concrete and bamboo -- all with private showers with deluxe riverside chalets having the addition of air-con and garden chalets being fan only. Rooms in the wood and bamboo longhouse have cold showers and fan only. Both have seen better days but are still comfortable enough and inexpensive. There's a spacious restaurant overlooking the river and service is friendly enough though English is somewhat limited. The resort is somewhat in the middle of nowhere but then it is a nice enough place to sit and chill for a few do days -- read a book in the garden, go for a hike or take a dip in the river. All in all not bad, and certainly quiet and relaxing.
