Description
A large hotel, one of many in a Thai chain, Rooks Holiday Hotel is self-described as the biggest entertainment centre in town. They sell tours and activities, have facilities on site for karaoke, snooker and massage, plus a swimming pool and other services. There are also restaurants, a piano lounge and a lobby bar. Rooms have all amenities: fridge, mini-bar, TV with English-language programming, in-house telephone, bath and hot shower. All rooms include breakfast. You can choose to stay in either the main hotel, or in one of the chalet style bungalows at the back of the resort which are set around a picturesque lake. The rooms however are pretty dated and musky considering the prices. On Sundays's the neighbouring field hosts a large Sunday market which sells local fruits, clothes and other brick-a-brack.
