Friend House
Cleanish with a great location

What we say:
Friend House has a variety of relatively clean rooms in a large teak and cement building. There is a small restaurant out back which has no ambiance whatsoever, but serves a few breakfast dishes. The rooms near said restaurant catch a bit of racket, so the upstairs rooms are the better choice. Friend House have a reputation for undercutting prices so if you're on a super-tight budget this is your best option. Rooms feature nothing more than a mattress on the floor and a wall fan. The shared bathrooms could do with a make-over.

Best Budget option in MHS
Great place. If you're on a budget this is the spot, super cheap, clean, great location, really nice people. The owner is a great lady. The girl cleaning the rooms, Uu, has the cutest daughter. Very warm people.

i love this place
its super cheap, and while the shared bathroom could be improved, i'd take it over the others in town any day. i've stayed all over MHS and this is the spot. the owner is a super cool Shan woman, very funny. there are very often cool people here. the upstairs teak deck has a great feel, a super chill spot. the food's not very good, save for the fruit salad and the filling pancake, but for a cheap/clean place to crash this is it.
