Jongkham Guest House
Good budget choice

What we say:
One of the few spots with an unobstructed view of the lake itself (though direct access is a two-minute walk away), Jongkham Guesthouse has a row of rather basic chalets set in a garden and a large wooden house with rooms for rent. The mostly bamboo huts have seen better times but given the limited choice in Mae Hong Son they aren't too bad, while the rooms in the house are passable. The former have attached showers while the latter have shared ones. Services include plenty of trekking info, free WiFi, a small cafe, motorbike hire (Honda Dreams for 150B per day) and free bicycles. Service is friendly and helpful. There is a 50 baht per room high season supplement in Dec and Jan.

Nice Bungalow
Loved the bungalow that we stayed in here. It was bad timing as the girl who usually runs the place was out of town- and the girl working there at the time was a bit disagreeable, but the bungalows are nice, clean, cool. It was a bit small but not a problem. Too bad there isn't a door from the guesthouse to the lake- have to walk around. If I had money for it I'd go back.
