Description
Originally located in a rented house near the airport, the Mae Hong Son Guest House has relocated to quiet, spacious grounds just outside of town. The three different room types are all very clean, with the standard selection of with or without bathroom while larger bungalow style rooms have air-con. The rooms are a decent size with large beds and gorgeous teak wood floors. The grounds are very relaxing with loads of flowers around the huts and a teak forest backdrop, a great spot to chill out and read a book. The restaurant on the grounds offers a standard selection of Thai traveller fare.

Pana Huts
Mae Hong Son
Recently opened, these wooden bungalows occupy a quiet spot quite a way out of Mae Hong Son. The rooms are average size, with attractive design features like wooden slat windows looking out on narrow balconies, and 'natural' bathrooms with tropical plants and stone. The huts are set in a cultured... more

Mae Nam Guesthouse
Toong Bang Moo village
Mae Nam Cottage is located about 15 minutes out of Mae Hong Son on the edge of the Ping River. A gorgeous old teak building sits in the centre of large grounds which are bordered by the river, while wooden bungalows sit by the water's edge. The latter look over rice fields across the river, and a... more

Rimtarn Guest House and Resort
18/4 Pangmoo, Mae Hong Son
Rimtarn, located just outside town, is popular among Thai university students. The rooms are large and clean and a small stream running at the bottom of the hill adds to the rustic feeling. There is a selection of different room sizes, styles, and comfort levels, all with bathroom and hot shower.... more

Lintfah Camping
Outskirts of Mae Hong Son
Lintfah Camping's simple bungalows are decent, made of cool cement with a 'bamboo' look in differing sizes and styles on their spacious property located in Baan Na Mak Bin, just outside Mae Hong Son. The tents sleep two and campers have access to shared bathroom facilities. Some rooms have... more

Tham Pla Forest Park Camping
On the road to Soppong, 17km from Mae Hong Son
The best part of this place is that it's free! Unbelievably, in the country of the sneaky charge, we've unearthed a freebie. What's more shocking is that it's run by the National Parks commission, those same nice chaps who sting us 400B to enter a mediocre park to see a dried out waterfall. All the... more
