Ban Rim Pai
Good riverside chalets if you've got the money

What we say:
Just 4km out of Mae Hong Son, this tiny and new resort has some very classy riverside chalets on offer. Attractive wooden exteriors and very well-designed interiors with large balconies as well. In low season we reckon considerable discounts would be available if you asked nicely and since they are very nice rooms it is worth asking if you want to go upmarket for a night or two. There is a smaller bungalow going for a bit less plus a suite bungalow going for a bit more. With only four or so bungalows at present we're not too sure what service would be like though they do have their own 'Mango Tree' Restaurant on the premises as well. Prices include breakfast.
