Abodaya Guesthouse
Centrally located and friendly

What we say:
Abodaya has a very central location, just down the road from Duang House and very close to the bus station. Service is efficient and friendly (at least in low season), and their restaurant is one of the better guesthouse eateries in town and a pleasant spot to sit with a morning coffee or evening beer. Abodaya has also been around for a while and in its limited space various bits have also been added from time to time creating another eclectic, Duang House-style labyrinth, though without the dingier bits. Large, clean wooden rooms go for the reasonable price of 300B a night, or a bit less if you bargain during low season, and 600B during high. All have hot showers and TV.

Restful
This guesthouse was right next to the bus station when I tumbled out my minibus. The room was nothing special but all you want is a mattress which is not smelly or hard, a room which is not musty and a shower that works. This had all 3 for 300 baht. The room was large enough too, I didn't have to continually skirt my backpack on the floor. And as the review says, Thai language on the TV only, but who cares?
