The Countryside Bungalows
Well run and a good deal

What we say:
The Country side is another Dutch - Thai run location with friendly Thai service and good food, and efficient Dutch organisation and management. It's down the dirt track running across the fields, above the T-junction, and though in a fairly bare and barren part of the valley they have done a good job with their garden plus added a swimming pool. Attention has also been paid to the unusual chalets -- they're octagonal, orange and each one comes with its own rooftop sunset viewing deck reached by a ladder. All chalets come with hot shower and are clean and well decorated. The downside is it's a long walk down the dirt track to get there, so transport would be handy.

Quiet with nice gardens
Owners Fon&Johan are in Holland. Fon's sister Tip is looking after the accom. She has good english and helpful. Standard fan rm(300baht),clean,h/w shower,no tv or fridge, no toilet paper, fly screens but some bugs still get in,2 water, pool was green from rain & chlorine but I was assured it was okay to swim in but I refrained, about a 20min walk in to town. If you don't like walking then you will need transport. Quiet at night.See their website.

Great Dutch Value!
Beautiful resort! The bungalows are so nice, clean and comfortable! Great pool and all the bungalows have pretty views. Very helpfull staff and owners. Great food, they even bring it to the pool or your private (!) rooftop terrace! We booked in advance, for a small price, but when we came there, it was half price! Great surprise! Free pick up and delivery to the bus station or motorbike shop. We surely recommend this great place.

Countryside Bungalows Pai
I stayed there in April 2006 for 6 nights. Very nice location, great scenery around with mountains in the distance. Deluxe bungalow was very good. Comfortable room, in an unusual but effectively designed building. A 10 minute walk into town. Fon who runs the place, and her sister were very helpful. Breakfast served on your roof terrace or in the outdoor sala. Lovely place. ( Richard )
