Breeze of Pai
Nice bargain rooms

What we say:
Breeze of Pai offers clean, decent-sized rooms with a little design flair yet without being too expensive. There's row houses or detached bungalows to choose from, all with fan and hot water. The place has a real Mediterranean feel to it, with the huts finished in a washed orange finish and the architecture more Spanish than Thai. The Thai/British management do their best to make you feel welcome and can help organise tours, treks and sightseeing tours by car. Weekly rates are available.

Nice Cozy, and beautiful Lanscape
We came in December, chilling cold. Upon registeration we were welcomed with free bananas. Yup, a basket of bananas for your pickings, what a nice gesture. Room paid was 300bht for 2 persons. Clean sheets and towels, but a dissapointemnt with the blankets. Too thin, not enough insulation on cold december nights. The place gets full early, so you need to come early during the day. We visit Pai again in december 2009 but a little bit late in the afternoon and look for this place, just as we thought,.. its full. Highly recommended for the price it ask for.

Clean, friendly, awesome
Had a great room for 250 baht during the low season. Great location beside a river, easy to lie in a hammock and lose a day. Really friendly place, I left my stuff with them for 2 days while I went on a whitewater trip and it was all good!

Beautiful Bungalows
Wonderful bungalows in a garden setting. We ended up spending a good amount of time sitting on our porch in the evening having a drink. Chill days were often spent in the hammocks overlooking the river. We found this place after a horrible night spent in another guesthouse (I can't remember the name of it) where I ended up getting a rash from the bedding which covered most of my legs. This place was MUCH better and I would certainly recommend it.

Green and lush!
We stayed here for 3 nights and would have liked to stay longer. The bungalows were clean, quiet and comfortable and the terrace overlooking the river a great place to hang out. The prices are a little more expensive than quoted here, but still good value for money compared with other places we looked at. The wi-fi didn't reach our bungalow, but we were able to sit around reception to pick up the signal. Overall, a lovely place to stay and we wouldn't hesitate to come back again.

Lovely Atmosphere
We stayed here for 3 nights over a Thai holiday weekend. Pai was absolutely packed with Thai tourists, so we were so happy that we managed to get a bungalow here. The bungalow was comfortable and cosy. Fan was ok for us, though they had air-con ones too. It was quiet at night, but near enough to the action to be able to walk everywhere. The wi-fi signal didn't reach our room, but it was fine if we sat on the terrace by reception. Free use of the safe and free bananas were a welcome extra. The price in high season is a little higher than Travelfish quote, but comparable to other places we checked. We would recommend a stay here and would love to go back sometime.

Acceptable but not remarkable
Stayed for a night. Air-con bungalows are cosy but have seen better days; worn and rusty in parts. Good location by the river (although the muddy river is hardly exciting) and just a short walk to town. Wi-Fi available but no signal in our bungalow. Garden concept is nice but breeds mosquitos. Run by friendly father and daughter. Free bananas.

Annoying lack of reservation options
I just gave up with 'Breeze of Pai'. After taking the time to search out their phone number and call them I was told that because they 'only' had two bungalows available the price had gone up from 300 to 400 Baht. Agreeing to this I then tried to make a reservation only to be told that they don;'t accept reservations and I should just turn up and see if they still had rooms available. So we are supposed to travel all the way from Chiang Mai and then wander around Pai like cows looking for a barn? No thanks, I'll skip Pai and go straight to Cave Lodge, thanks.

Green oasis in buzzing town!
Stayed at the Breeze for 3 nights. Rooms are comfortable and cool and extremely clean. They have a great terrace which overlooks the river and the bungalows are romantic if you come in a couple. They have free wi-fi too, which was a bonus for me as I have a laptop. Prices in Pai have gone up this year, but Breeze is still great value for money. I look forward to going back next year.

Comfortable!
The bungalows were probably the best during my whole travel through Thailand. They were safe from mosquitos, very clean and had a wonderful bed. The location is great, too, with a nice chill-out area next to the River. Highly recommended!!!

Great Spot/Great price
This great spot is run by a British woman (Helen) and her Thai husband. It is convenient, comfortable and very clean. The hosts are very personable. Less than a 5 minute walk from the bus station or almost anywhere in Pai. Has a great deck overlooking the river. Paid 300B for a room in Feb. Check it out/ you'll love it. Great value.

love it!
I'm fairly picky about where I stay as I'm not a hardcore backpacker. But I loved this guesthouse. i had an A-Frame room (550B). It was spacious & airy with a clean bathroom (v. important to me) & comfy bed. I would highly recommend this guesthouse.
