The Blue Lagoon Hotel
Functional looking but welcome pool

What we say:
Not a bad option for downtown, though it has its drawbacks, with its room no more than functional and slightly noisy due to their location just in front of the pool/bar area and a rather scruffy, unwelcoming entrance area that makes it feel like you're entering someone's garage. On the other hand, a decent sized swimming pool for 400B a night can't be that bad (especially if Unicorn House is full). At these prices some corners are inevitably cut and one may well be pool maintenance, so it's worth a peak at water cleanliness before you dive in! It does go up to 900B (single) and 1,200B (2 pax) in high season, so it's probably best to forget it during that period. Otherwise the functional looking rooms are clean enough with TV and bathroom, and staff are friendly.

The comment made by Sophie (my 12 year old daughter) is total rubbish. Please ignore. This was done for ''teenage'' fun. Blue Lagoon is a clean, fun place to stay with new owner, John making such a big effort. If you like a good atmosphere and fun, lively place to stay - this is it.

Not so hot.
No safety deposit box, they told us it was ok to leave stuff in the room then when we came back later we found the cleaning girl had left our door wide open (and hadn't cleaned the room). Then, the next day, at about 12, they threw us a out because a group arrived and wanted to check into all the rooms. So, not recommended by me anyway.
