Description
Pai Lanna is a pleasant place, with an awesome restaurant which provides killer views over the rice terraces. The rooms, however clean and new as they are, are seriously overpriced. Thatched bamboo used to be the formula for cheap huts; nowadays they call it Lanna style and double the price. The gardens are pleasant and keep the huts separate from each other. Rooms are spotless, with towels, hot water and mosquito net all included. Fan cooled. Breakfast is included in the price.

Bungalow fan private b'room

River Park Darling Guesthouse
Near south bank of Pai River, Pai

Family Hut
Over the Pai River

Misty Bungalows
Near the river, Pai
This place has 15 no-nonsense bungalows, all with shared facilities. They're basic A frames, but larger than the 'usual suspects', with a pleasant double door which lets in plenty of ventilation. The rooms are circled around a central sala which has a few hammocks strung up, a good place to relax... more

To My Friends
East of the Pai River, 187 Moo1, Tambon Maehee
To My Friends is run by the likeable Ball and his Japanese girlfriend Moji. Their set-up contains only eight huts, some with en suite bathroom and some shared. The huts are basic bamboo and wood constructions, but there are nice touches in terms of the design, particularly the open air shower and... more
