Surrounded by 360 degrees of green, Bulun Buri is one of the most serene retreats around Pai. On the edge of a rustic village, this resort has a handful of huge stilted bungalows on the banks of a small stream, and a massive teak sala which is an architectural beauty. The rooms come fully loaded -- TV, DVD player, stereo, fridge, walk-thru wardrobe and a decent bathroom. The styling is Thai Lanna, so there are lush wooden floors and bamboo thatch ceilings, and quality linens on the bed. A huge balcony provides the perfect retreat from the hot sun.
