Ubud Guesthouse
Charming, friendly and peaceful

What we say:
This delightful little guesthouse is located in a small Shan village, some 5 or 6km out of Pai town. It boasts a very nice teak restaurant and immaculately kept garden with just four well-designed chalets. Chalets are constructed solidly from a mixture of woven bamboo, thatched leaf roofs and hard walled en suite bathrooms with hot water showers. All have great balconies overlooking the river. Ubud is Swiss- and Thai-run, so expect good organisation and efficient service, as well as good food and friendly service. Their website is only in French but then there are mostly only photos on it anyway -- English is spoken at the guesthouse. This is one spot where it's well worth being isolated to stay at a great little guesthouse.
