Soppong River Inn is an excellent chalet set up in a pleasant garden overlooking the river. A great cafe and bar area has been set up on top of the low cliff above the Lang, making for a top spot for a cool beer after a hard day's trekking. Accommodation is all very nice and very well appointed (with minibar, free tea and coffee, TV and so on), but rather complicated with a wide array of types: Bamboo Rooms, 'Rice Hut', 'River Rim' cottage, 'Leelawadi' cottage, Champa Room and The Baan. Bamboo Rooms are individual chalets, decorated tastefully and with very nice bathrooms. Rice Huts are similar and of equal quality, but made mostly of teak. River Rim Cottage is the only one of these superb chalets with all the facilities, plus a lovely balcony overlooking the river below. The Baan is a large teak chalet suitable for families. The Champa Room is a large room, also suited to families, and finally the Leelawadi Cottage is an awesome and large, two-storey wooden house with balcony and all the facilities you could ask for. All accommodation has hot showers and all rooms are decorated with care and taste. All in all for the prices -- see below – a great deal! Discounts are offered for stays of more than a week or so. A very informative website as well.

Sooo relaxing - 20th January, 2009
An absolutely wonderful place for a couple to loose themselves for a few days. Rooms are thoughtfully designed and furnished -- we loved the openness of the River Rim Cottage. Food was excellent, and the creative cocktails provided a welcome refreshment on hot days. Many hearty kudos to Burt, Joy, and Joy's sisters for making our Songkran stay in Soppong an especially memorable one, we will certainly return!

A huge forest-like area with excellent rooms. I didn't stay but it looks like the perfect place to relax for a few days.
