Bo Klua View
Luxury and comfort in the countryside

What we say:
If you do make it all the way to Bo Kluea, it will be hard to miss the signs for this peaceful mountain resort, perched just above the river through town. Though it is no longer the only game in town, it is still most certainly the most luxurious, and delivers excellent quality and value for the price. All the rooms are well decorated, with cool, smooth concrete floors and relaxing lighting. The bathrooms are well equipped, and are everything you would expect from a high-end resort. Beds are comfortable and TV, air-con, and WiFi are all standard (though the real attractions of Bo Kluea lie outside your room). Free breakfast is included, and the onsite restaurant is surely the finest food in town; in fact, rumor has it that the proprietor was formerly a chef at a 5-star restaurant in Bangkok, so he’s sure to be preparing some excellent dishes. All in all, if you can fit it in to your budget, Bo Kluea View is an excellent place to kick back and relax, and substantial discounts are available in low season.

Great escape
Boklua View is a wonderful bungalow retreat overlooking the Mang River and the salt well town of Bo Luang. The bungalows are rustic in style, but very comfortable with polished concrete floors and wide verandahs. They all have aircon. but it is not really needed as the resort is about 700 metres above sea level and the days were mild and the nights cool. The bungalows sit around a terraced rice field, with some of them on the side of a small stream running down into the Mang River. It is a beautiful garden setting. There is free wifi - a bit patchy in the bungalow, but excellent in the restaurant or a sala in the middle of the grounds. Food in the restaurant was very good, especially breakfast which was included in the tariff and a cut above most hotel breakfasts. All in all, an ideal place to just get away for a few days. The only drawback - and no fault of management - was the absurdly loud karaoke music from the ''tent hotel'' on the other side of the river!
