S.P. Guest House
A clean, friendly choice

What we say:
This reasonably new guesthouse has large, spotlessly clean yet homey rooms in an attractive two-storey building set off the main road behind a shop front. All the rooms have TV, private bathroom, and hot water, and the shower is even separated from the toilet, if only by a small barrier. The staff are very friendly, and some can even speak a bit of English. Discounts are available for longer stays, and it seems to be popular with some of the foreign English teachers in town. All in all not a bad choice if you want to be close to the action. If you don’t plan on using air-con, ask for a discount on the fan price, as it seems a bit high.

Not a very honest place.
When I walked in to ask about the price of a fan room with attached bathroom, the gentleman at the counter told me it was 400B a night. When I told him that the price is very high for a place like Nan, he said he could lower it to 350B. I thanked him and walked away. Guest houses in Nan are generally charging 350B to 450B for a double room with A/C and attached bathroom.
