Nan Guest House

A veritable institution, the Nan Guesthouse has been around for at least 25 years, and is still the best in town in classic guesthouse style.

Rooms are smartly decorated and exceptionally clean, with both rooms with private bathroom and shared facilities available. Shared bathrooms are equally clean and well maintained. Guesthouse walls are liberally coated with maps, information, bus timetables and so on, and though it lacks much of a communal area the De Zeven Cafe across the lane belongs to the same guys and their garden is a very pleasant spot to sit, eat and drink. It may be slightly tricky to find the first time – it's tucked down a narrow lane off Mahaprom Road – but the location is good and you’re only a five-minute walk from central Sumondhewaraj Road. The guesthouse also has bicycles to rent for 80 baht or small motorbikes for 250 baht per day. Recommended.
