Dhevaraj Hotel
Tour group favourite
466 Sumonthewarat Rd
Nan Province
Tel: (054) 710 078

Description
Mainly catering to Chinese and other international tour groups, the Dhevaraj has standard hotel style rooms with fan or with a/c.
This isn't a particularly backpacker-friendly place.
The hotel has a coffee lounge and karaoke bar, with limited English spoken. Although the rooms here are better than the Nanfah hotel nextdoor, the Nanfah certainly has a lot more character.

You won't find anything this nice at 800B with lovely pool in Bangkok! Fast internet too. I missed the smell and the cold water mentioned by others. All ok now. Breakfast included or I would eat elsewhere. Don't miss the museum in Nan.

Nobody has mentioned the pool. Its a nice pool, I liked it, my wife liked it. As for the rooms they were fine, average hotel rooms but a big bed and nice bathroom. But yes breakfast was a joke. We walked in as backpackers and seemed to get the same greeting as everyone else and in fact were generally smiled at and helped at every occasion. Also they have safety deposit boxes that would make fort knox proud. Go there, use the pool, smile, wave and enjoy.
Hot Water Would Be Nice - ![]()

We stayed at the Devaraj for ten nights during our recent visit to Nan. Having moved to the Deveraj from the Nan Far because the Nan Fah was over booked, we hoped to find very modern facilities.
Well we did, particularly the showers, which where great - when they had hot water.
It seemed to me that the hotel only turned on the water heaters some time early evening.
However, the hotel is well managed in all other respects and a certain favourite if you need comfort at an affordable price.
But go next door to the Nan Fah for breakfast !!
Best choice - ![]()

This is imho the best choice in Nan (looked at several places). It is clean, efficient and some English is spoken. It caters mainly to local businesspeople. Like all of these hotels it has quite a strong smell of disinfectant (or insecticide?) about it.
It is spot on the main street in the centre, but rooms in the back are pretty quiet.
Breakfast is yukky, but at those prices the place is a very good deal.
