Kwan Phayao Villa
Great for bigger groups, bigger budgets

What we say:
Just off the Chai Kwan lakeside avenue, this very new, very attractive building houses an excellent coffee shop and a couple of huge rooms. The villa dedicates the entire space on the second and third floors to just one room each, with three large beds and a couch, flatscreen TV and a large bathroom with two toilets. A small indoor seating area on the roof has lovely views of the lake and its surrounds. The very friendly proprietor Tommy and his wife are both natives of Phayao and completely fluent in English. Though it seems like a somewhat odd setup, it is most certainly the nicest room in town to sleep six or seven people in, and if you aren't going to fill all the beds, it is possible that you may be able to arrange a discount. Regardless of whether or not you plan on staying, it's worth stopping by for some good coffee and good conversation.
