Description
This clean budget hotel is on the far side of the train-tracks from the river, so it's a bit of a walk from many of the eating options in town. It also gets a bit of noise from the trains which pretty much run straight out front. The rooms are ok, a bit on the musty side, but not too bad for the money. Friendly but no English spoken. There is an Internet cafe and minimart on the ground floor.

LiThai Guesthouse
73/1-5 Phayalithai Rd, Phitsanulok
Don't let the name deceive you -- this is a cheap hotel, not a guesthouse. The rooms are very clean and better than at the Samainiyom and Asia Hotels around the corner. They are a bit more expensive, but well worth the extra cost. There are many choices of room types and prices, but all rooms have... more

Phitsanulok Youth Hostel
Sanambin Rd, Phitsanulok
This hostel used to have a very good restaurant set in what was a lovely garden. But now, an overgrown jungle of weeds covering trash piles of old wood and breeding hordes of savage mosquitos surrounds the building. The private rooms are passable, but the owners have covered the concrete walls with... more

Asia Hotel
Ekathosarot Rd, Phitsanulok
Just to the south of the train station, the Asia Hotel has large but grimy rooms that could use a fresh coat of paint and the bedsheets are just as stained as the walls. The location is very convenient, but both the road traffic and train noise are a bit... more

Samainiyom Hotel
175 Ekathosarot Rd, Phitsanulok
This place almost looks like a flash hotel from the outside, but the rooms are grimy, with mouldy walls and peeling paint. On the positive side the beds are good and hard and the rooms are quiet, and it's located near the train station. For the money it's a fair deal, but one night is certainly... more
