4T Guesthouse

Lacks character but well equipped

What we say: 3.5 stars

4T Guesthouse (not to be confused with nearby No. 4 Guesthouse) doesn't seem to have changed much after moving into the space previously occupied by J&J. Basic is the key word here — all rooms come with plain tile floors, white walls and firm beds to go with similarly basic hot water bathrooms. They're spacious, however, and most come with loungable front porches. On the downside, these rooms are showing their age, especially the 600 baht bungalows which, while large, don't offer much more than the 400 baht regular rooms. These do have TVs, though, as do the 400 to 500 baht (depending on air-con or fan) rooms in the "mansion" building out back. 4T is one of the few places in new Sukhothai with a swimming pool, which is rather shabby, but hey it's a pool. On the bright side, we found staff to be among the most welcoming around, and the guesthouse offers free WiFi, a restaurant, bicycles and some of the better quality motorbikes in the area.
