One of the redeeming features of Ao Nang is that the accommodation market hasn't blackballed budget travellers, or exiled them to the outskirts of town. The Jinda is one of a cluster of budget, shopfront-style places that are reasonably close to the beach. The cheapest rooms here have shared facilities and no exterior windows, but they aren't so bad, and definitely priced to sell. As the offerings rise in price, though, the value for your baht decreases a little, but if your looking for a family room or an air-con room in the high season, you'll still find some of the best bargains here.

Jinda Guest House reviews

Read 1 opinions from Travelfish readers

Friendly value - 2nd January, 2008
With the three adjacent guesthouses charging 550-1000 baht, Jinda was a welcome surprise at 400 baht for a double fan room with shared bath. The staff were friendly and accomodating, booking bus and ferry tickets for us. The rooms were very basic, with interior windows, a fan, desk and chair, and two twin beds. Bathrooms were shared, roomy and had only cold water. The location is great, close to the beach, restaurants, shops and bars. The one thing to consider is that there are screened ''windows'' near the ceiling that do not close, so if you have noisy neighbors, you cannot block out the sound. That said, Jinda is a great bargain - we stayed next door when Jinda was full and paid 150 baht more for a room with a broken fan.
