Description
The lobby here is pretty low on atmosphere, and upstairs there's a cavernous, dimly-lit hallway that was sort of creepy, in a way. But we did find some decent rooms with good balconies that have pleasant, green views of nothing in particular. Check it out in the low season for a bit of comfort on a budget, but on in high season, you can definitely find better elsewhere for the price.

J. Mansion
302 Moo 2 Ao Nang
This is a popular place that gets a lot of repeat custom. The manager speaks English well and is quite accessible. He told us the place was frequented by Thai movie stars -- in fact, there was one in the large restaurant/lobby, sipping a coke, on our visit. What with being constantly occupied with... more
Sea World Guest House
247/10-11 Moo 2, Ao Nang
Sea World registers on the budget radar with it's cheapies in low season, and it's reasonable high season prices. Also, all the rooms have TVs, if that's on your checklist. That atmosphere is nothing to rear up on your tail and flap your flippers over, but it does live up to it's name in one... more
