Gets lots of repeat custom

What we say:
This is a popular place that gets a lot of repeat custom. The manager speaks English well and is quite accessible. He told us the place was frequented by Thai movie stars -- in fact, there was one in the large restaurant/lobby, sipping a coke, on our visit. What with being constantly occupied with our tireless search for quality travel information, we don't have much time to familiarise ourselves with Thailand's cinematic output, but the figure in question had his hair back in a pony tail and that 'don't talk to me, I'm famous,' look on his face, so we sort of believe it. The place is very, very clean, and they've made an effort to spruce up the cavernous hallways -- there's also a nice rooftop terrace. What with the potential to rub elbows with the possibly-somewhat-famous, we're sold.

Clean and inexpensive
Nice place. It's just off the main street so a little quieter. I stayed in an aircon room with private bath, tv and fridge for 500 baht for two people. After my friend left the owner gave me a discount to 400 baht. I stayed there a few nights. A lot of tour groups seem to come through this place. They have a nice little common area/restaurant downstairs. Quite clean and the staff is friendly.
