This garden bungalow outfit has a very large restaurant/reception area, and grounds full of green foliage and ponds like something out of a painting by Matisse. The notoriously cranky staff, however, are more along the lines of Edvard Monk. If you can look past that, the place has a nice atmosphere and good rooms. The air-con rooms are hotel-style, with TVs, fridges and safes, while the more basic fan rooms are good value for the money. It's a 20-minute walk to the beach, so consider renting some transportation or flagging down a songthaew on the main road.

* Travelfish researchers visit and review properties on an anonymous basis. By that we mean they show up, in person, and pretend to be either be a potential guest, or somebody looking for a room for a friend or relative. Where possible the researcher will inspect at least a couple of rooms. The rates you see above are what either the desk staff told us they were, or what were in the brochure when they just told us to quit bugging them and look in the brochure. Ok housing, cheap meals - 30th January, 2008
The staff were grumpy some days and kind other days. Very dependent of the mood of this person behind the desk. Not exactly a place were you got smiles every day. Highseason rates were 500B/n for the cheapest fan bungalows. No major bug problems except for ants running around. Make sure you do not throw any food/candy items in the trash. Food was good and relatively cheap, especially compared to the main beach front resturants in Ao Nang.
