Homely and intimate
This quaint little house is located in a quiet residential neighbourhood that shoots north from the main road, near Green View Village and around a 20-minute walk from the beach.
It’s a good choice for those who want a comfortable room away from the sprawling resorts, block hotels and tired guesthouses. The lovingly decorated two-floor modern Thai-style wood house has only six rooms with elegant paintings of orchids on wood walls, tall swing-open windows and silk spreads draped over good-quality linens and very comfy beds. The rooms are spotless and equipped with air-con in addition to ceiling fans, LCD TVs, modern hot water bathrooms, fridges, desks, coffee/tea facilities and WiFi. This is more of a small guesthouse than an actual homestay where you cook and dine with the family. That’s not to say it isn’t far more personable than your average hotel -- laid-back owner Mr Chang does a great job of making his guests feel at home. The house has a handful of inviting verandas with tables and open-air hallways to go with a garden and fountains in the fenced-in yard outside. Rates jump a bit during peak season, with discounts available for longer stays.
