One of the friendliest little resorts on Lanta, Ancient Realm has packed a lot of punch into a small piece of land located just across the road from the beach in the heart of the village.
The true boutique resort offers only seven rooms, all of them immaculately clean, spacious and lovingly decorated with lots of warm purples, reds and yellows, brightly painted Chinese silk fans, northern Thai silk streamers, elegant ceramic vases, hanging seashells and soft beds on chunky bamboo frames. They're also very well equipped with air-con, fans, satellite TVs, DVD players with a wide selection of titles available, fridges, safes, desks, coffee/tea facilities, large bathrooms with separated shower areas and terraces with lots of tropical foliage. There's also a plunge swimming pool, spa and restaurant, plus an adorable English terrier for dog lovers. But the fantastic service is Ancient Realm's top selling point; Australian owners David and Wayne have received loads of praise from their many happy customers.
