What we say:

Southern Lanta Resort is quite a large operation located centrally on Khlong Dao. An expansive restaurant and reception area is located in the middle, and the bungalows are lined up on the sides and rear. In front of the reception area is the pool and then the beach. The whole design of the resort, which feels a little haphazard, does create a cramped feeling. Rooms are scruffy, especially the standard bungalows, which have scant decoration and small balconies. If you like to have a good bathroom, definitely go for the superior bungalow rooms as theirs are much better than the standards. Expensive beachfront bungalows are on offer along with a myriad of other choices. Staff are not exactly the best that the tourist industry has to offer, but they get the job done, eventually. The best thing here is the small spa next to the pool. Prices have remained steady for a number of years, which adds to the allure of the spot.

Nothing especial

Nice location direct at the beach. Stayed for 6 days in superior garden view bungalow. Friendly staff. Nice beach . Despite low tide nice to swim. But something burned in the sea water, maybe very small jellyfishes or like said plankton. There is a poster with caution close by steps to territory from the beach '' Jellyfish stings are painful''. Not enough sun beds. If you want to occupy sunbed, you should wake up at least at 6 a.m. Old furniture and towels in bungalow. There was not anything from mosquitoes in bungalow. There are a lot of Swedish families with children, therefore at 10 p.m. very silently.
