One of the first resorts to appear on Ko Lanta, Villa continues to enjoy a solid reputation for comfortable rooms, great beachfront location and friendly service.
The staff gave us a warm welcome and quickly offered to show us around. Rooms are mostly set in detached concrete villas, either white with an almost A-frame design around the large and well-placed swimming pool, or purple and set just back from the pool. The rooms are more functional than stylish apart from some northern Thai wood carvings; but they smell fresh and are outfitted with soft beds, fridges, TVs and safes. The swimming pool is set close to a great stretch of beach, where you'll find the Thai masseuses hard at work. Villa Resort is very similar to (but a bit friendlier than) nearby Lanta Southern Resort; either are good choices that are particularly family friendly. Note that the rates we were quoted are 300 baht cheaper than what's listed on the resort's website.
