What we say: 3.5 stars

The Andaman Lanta Resort is a favourite among Thai holiday-makers. The car park out front is usually busy and can on first glance give a bad impression. However, making your way to reception you will find an unusually large number of helpful staff who speak excellent English. The resort has a choice of hotel rooms or bungalows, all of which are comfortable. Inside the hotel section (out front where the reception is located) are standard rooms, deluxe rooms and suites. Hotel rooms with private balconies have either the view of the beach and sunset or the rooms facing the mountain. Bungalows are spread out near to the pool and beach and are larger than the hotel rooms. The beach area immediately in front of the hotel is a little rocky so you need to move slightly up the beach for better swimming, or use the large swimming pool and Jacuzzi. The Andaman beach side restaurant serves Thai, Chinese and international cuisine. Rates are inclusive of breakfasts and taxes. This is a good midrange choice if you are looking for a hotel-feel holiday.
