Located towards the southern part of the beach away from the party zone, New Ozone surprised us with its classy wooden villas that we felt were the best flashpacker options on Khlong Khong.
The standard room we checked out was spacious and very comfy, with shiny hardwood floors, LCD TV, soft bed with quality linens, large glass windows, fridge, desk, partially open-air bathroom and front porch with direct sea views. Pricier detached villas are set within steps of the sand and come with more space. There's no swimming pool and the small resort is placed on a fairly small piece of land that forces rooms to be stacked close together, but the design is well executed to make the most of the beachfront location. This is a family-run spot and the staff were very welcoming. Expect to pay an extra few hundred baht in peak season. Neighbouring Nice & Easy Lodge is also a decent choice; it has more of an intimate atmosphere but the rooms are pricier and not as well equipped.
