Lanta Paradise
Air-con, spacious and clean

What we say:
This family-run establishment is a small operation with bungalows close to the beach, a decent pool and a great restaurant. Spacious rooms similar to its neighbours are clean, well maintained and nicely designed. All rooms have been upgraded to air-con, with a choice of either beachfront or garden. They specialise in dive courses and general dive trips, and use the swimming pool by the beach for starter scuba courses. At the start of the season in early October they offer fantastic room discounts.

Nice, except the cheap rooms.
Nice place in a good section of the beach with an attractive beachside pool with the more expensive bungalows clustered around. The dearest aircon jobs sure looked nice but spaced fairly tightly. Beachside restaurant has candle-lit tables on the sand at night, some very nice food and bagain prices. Service was pretty good. There are a number of beach bars and restaurants in close proximity. BUT my elcheapo 4ooB bungalow located across the road in a rough garden area was a DUMP. Plusses: the setting was nice enough-bungalows not too close-were big with plenty of room for 2+people and gear-big veranda was a nice place to spend time-comfy dbl bed- gd mirrors in room+bathrm. Minuses: 1 of 2 room lights busted-other too dim for easy reading-door required huge slam to lock, a window pane fell out!-no mosquito net-no window insect screens-non closing gap allowed mozzies in-no trash bins-no broom-no hammock-dbl bed had three-quarter sheet+single size blkt!-water pressure vanished 1 morning.
