The long-running Nature Beach is a fine choice for travellers seeking a straightforward resort that's run by a local family who have no use for the "boutique-y" atmosphere that others try so hard to achieve.
Along with the standard air-con rooms, which are bigger and newer than their lime-green "garden view" counterparts, white concrete fan bungalows are located on the inland side of the road and are perhaps a bit overpriced. While they're not winning any style points, all rooms are spacious and seem to be well kept. All but the cheapest rooms are equipped with TVs and fridges, but all have roofed terraces and hot water bathrooms. Rooms closest to the beach enjoy sea views through side-facing glass windows, and everyone can enjoy the views from the large restaurant set right next to the beach. While the staff are pleasant, they can get distracted and are often slow to respond to requests. The same family owns nearby Lanta Nature House, a guesthouse on the inland side of the road with clean, well-equipped rooms that seem overpriced. Just up the road, Sunset Bungalows has similarly straightforward rooms in a smaller overall package.
