Sri Lanta has added some neat touches to make its 49 thatched villas stand out. The traditional Thai seating area with cushions on the floor and partly open-air bathrooms are interesting features. The focus is on creating a relaxed, comfortable setting without being too pretentious, and it manages this well. The villas and one separate house are a good midrange bet for those who want to be immersed in a natural setting. All rooms, aside from the two-storey beach home, are garden-facing or on the hillside, and blend in remarkably well with their environment. Natural materials have been used throughout, making this one of the more eco-friendly resorts on the island. The villas are on a slightly steep hill, and the communal restaurant, pool and spa take up the beachfront space.

Just walked past this resort last night (June 23) and it is extremely closed for the low season.
