This friendly, family-run resort has a relaxed atmosphere that extends to a smattering of bungalows set in a spacious area filled with coconut trees within sight of the sea.
Rooms are basic but well taken care of and reasonably priced, with air-con or fan available in the concrete or bamboo structures. They all come with sea-view porches, soft beds with mosquito nets, a few windows, tables, basic bathrooms and wall-mounted fans. The concrete editions have hot water showers while the bamboo huts keep it cold. One big selling point here, as opposed to similarly basic resorts up in Khlong Nin, is the added room to move around -- plenty of distance between each room lends a sense openness that might make it easier to kick back and relax. Coral Beach's other selling point is its quality restaurant perched atop a seaside hill, where you can enjoy fresh home-cooked seafood as the sun dips over the horizon. Prices rise by a couple hundred baht during peak season.
