Description
The rooms here are quite pretty, with new wooden furnishings and nice decorative touches. In and of themselves they are sort of worth the price, and the location is quite close to the beach, but the rooms are assembled around a brick courtyard that's baking hot during the day, and give the place the feeling of a road-side motel. The staff try hard, but despite the good quality of the rooms, it's just not a very comfortable place to stay.

Total rooms: 10

Dbl A/C private b'room
1,500 THB (low season) 3,000 THB (high season)

The pool is of a decent size, but wedged into a courtyard with the resort looming around it, it looks and feels tiny. The rooms get good marks, though -- pleasant, upscale... more

Sabai Resort
Nopphara Thara Beach Rd
This is a good choice for a long stay on Nopphara Thara Beach for a reasonable price. The rooms are quite good -- a bit plain but bright and homey -- the family bungalows are well-equipped, including stoves to do your own cooking and an ample dining area. The pool isn't huge, but provides a nice... more

Success Beach Resort
Nopphara Thara Rd
This is a post-tsunami addition to the beach, and it seems like the place hasn't really caught on yet. The lobby is impressive, but despite the heavily doctored photo in the brochure, it's not really on the beach, the pool is small, and there isn't much going on in the vicinity. Except, of course,... more
