Sabai Resort

Great for families and groups

What we say: 3.5 stars

This small and simple resort is a good choice for a long stay on Nopphara Thara Beach for a reasonable price. Concrete cottages are quite pleasant -- a bit plain but bright, fresh and homey -- and all come with hot water, fridge and free WiFi. Even the more expensive rooms lack TVs, so head over to Noppharat Resort if that's a must. The family bungalows have stoves to do your own cooking and an ample dining area. A centrally located swimming pool isn't huge, but it will do the trick on a hot day. The Italian owners are friendly and cook up a storm in the kitchen -- authentic Italian fare in the mid-price range as well as steak, lamb chops, and, of course, real espresso coffee. A lot of Italians come here, but the place also attracts Thais and other foreigners. With an array of rooms to choose from, this is a fine choice for a family or group vacation.
