Jinnies Place
Huge pool

What we say:
A footbridge from the road leads across a small stream to Jinnie's place -- the part that fronts the street is quite attractive, with well-tended gardens and ponds here and there. Out back there's a surprisingly huge pool, but the grounds become a little sparser and suffer from a lack of shade. The bungalows are decent and well-furnished, with a rather unique design for Thailand -- wood floors, exposed brick walls -- and large jungle toilets. The staff tend to be a little distracted, but that big pool makes up for a lot of sins. The real problem is the condo-town under construction out back -- noise will likely be a problem for the next year or so.
