This high-standard beach resort pulls off a stylish take on "contemporary Thai" architecture that isn't often done well.
A two-tier waterfall greets you at reception, and water features prominently throughout the resort. Shaded by lush tropical foliage, several wooden decks are placed beside goldfish ponds and fountains. The beautiful beachside main swimming pool is supplemented by a smaller pool that fronts the cheapest rooms in the main building block. Rooms don't quite hold up to the soothing design found outside, but they're perfectly comfortable, with dark woods, glossy tile floors, polished concrete bathrooms, modern art and firm mattresses on raised platforms. Standard amenities include TV, safe and minibar. If you can swing the added cost, the detached villas come with jacuzzi tubs and are a big step up from the regular rooms. The resort offers a full-service spa, cafe and restaurant, with a range of wedding and honeymoon packages available. Check online for better deals than the rack rates listed below. If you're seeking a quality resort with a pool and slightly cheaper rates, you might check out nearby Nakara Resort.
