While most of the resorts in northern Haad Phra Ae are squished into small plots of land stacked one on top of the next, Good Days' long-running status is evidenced by its wide stretch of beachfront set under the shade of beach pines where a narrow canal empties into the sea.
The white concrete cottages appear to have been built at different points in the resort's lifetime, resulting in nine different room types. All of them have aged gracefully, with wide sea-view windows being a specialty across the board. The fan cottages are perhaps overpriced, even if they come with safes, hot water and are set near the beach. Air-con editions represent better value; the cheapest bags you a fridge and amenities get better from there. Larger rooms are equipped with TVs, desks and sliding glass doors that open onto a beachside swimming pool. The staff are a bit disorganised but very friendly. For something more stylish and intimate, but without the beachfront location, nearby Soontreeya Boutique Resort is another solid midrange choice.
