Run by Nok a lovely welcoming Thai lady, Lanta Merry Hut Resort sits on a quiet area on the beach tucked away on its own. The beach is not very good for swimming as there are quite a lot of rocks around, but at high tide or after a careful look around you can find a place to swim. This is more of a place for relaxing in a peaceful atmosphere. There are basic bamboo bungalows that are comfortable with room enough on the balcony to string up a hammock.

Nice and relaxing, friendly service, freshing banana milkshake, yum! Declined to stay there though, as they only had fan bungalows left, it was too hot and I had just come from Phi Phi where I treated myself to luxury, it was my birthday after all!
